Midcentury Danish P Westergaard Teak Veneer Chest of Drawers
Attributed to P Westergaard, this neatly proportioned chest of drawers was manufactured in Denmark in the 1960s. The design is classic Scandinavian midcentury – clean-lined and minimalist. It looks just as good in profile as it does from the front, with the warm teak tones taking centre-stage. With four generous drawers, it’s lower height means it could double up as a dressing table with a free-standing mirror on top. A very fine piece of furniture with provenance that’s as practical as it is sought after.
This chest of drawer has been loved in its previous lives as there are very few signs of wear and the teak veneer remains in excellent condition. There are no repairs and the drawers are in good working order. The wood carries only the most minor scuffs. See our photos for a clearer idea of the condition. The original Westergaard label is still affixed to the back panel.
