Midcentury 1970’s G Plan Teak Cabinet
We believe originally designed as a standalone television stand unit, this neat 1970’s G Plan teak cabinet offers fantastic neutral storage space for all manner of things. Such is its simplicity and no nonsense design, it could fit into any room in the house, mixing with other woods and furniture periods. British maker, G Plan, made furniture that was built to last and this compact, stylish cabinet is a testament to that.
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good to excellent condition. We have cleaned and polished it. The cupboard doors align and their closures work as they should. There is a height adjustable shelf in the cupboard and the support pegs are all present. There are some minor marks and scuffs to the wood but this is in line with its age. On the top surface there is a lighter mark, most likely from water. It’s not unsightly and would most likely be obscured if you displayed items on the top – please refer to our photos. We can see no signs of repair nor have we undertaken any repairs ourselves. There is no original maker’s label however G Plan designs / pieces are well documented. Please browse our photos for an accurate sense of the condition of overall.
