Large Pull-down Vintage 1974 German Medical School Human Skeleton Wall Chart

Originally a teaching aid for medical schools in Germany, these vintage, pull-down wall charts are quite the statement piece for the modern home. This one is particularly large and striking – it certainly packs a visual punch! Its focus is the anatomy of the human skeleton, showing key joints, and how the spine flexes in different postures. Its mounted on two metal rods and was designed to be rolled up. It’s made of paper backed with linen and as you can see, its colours are still vivid and clear with no fading. It dates from 1974 and is in super condition.

Description

An original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’, it is in good-very good, used condition. As you can see from our photos, there is a little cracking and deterioration to the canvas at the top edges. There is also a small tear to the back linen, measuring around 1cm on the back but this doesn’t come through on the front. The metal rods at the top and bottom are in good condition and the piece can be rolled for each stowing.
