Large 1970s British-Made Vanson Extending Teak Dining Table
A really well-made, rectangular teak dining table, ideal as a hard-working, practical main family table, it will comfortable seat six and with its extension in place, it can accommodate eight. Made by British furniture maker, Vanson, it dates from the 1970s. It’s in superb original condition with a beautiful colour and patina to the wood. A fine, ‘Made in Britain’, substantial vintage piece ready for years of service.
Description
This is an original piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in overall excellent, used condition. We have thoroughly cleaned the table and applied a wax polish. To extend the table, the two main leaves are pulled apart and you can see the extension is integrated into the middle section of the table – this then simply folds out and the two main leaves are then pushed back to give a seamless finish. The mechanism is in excellent order and moves smoothly. Likewise, the leaves move with ease. There are some very faint superficial marks on the top surface and legs but nothing specific to flag and what we would expect with a used item of considerable years – it’s in exceptional order. Please browse our photos for an accurate sense of its condition.
