Skyline Bentwood Danish Midcentury Lounge Chair by Hove Møbler
Dating from the 1970’s and manufactured by celebrated Danish furniture makers/ Hove Mobler, this iconic Skyline model chair is a midcentury design classic. With its elegant bentwood beech frame, leather supports and dark brown leather upholstered cushion, this is a quintessentially Scandinavian design that looks as fresh today as it did when it left the factory. Its leather is still soft and supple so it’s very comfortable and the wooden frame is excellent vintage condition. This is a piece that will slot neatly in beside other seating or that works on its own as an occasional chair.

Description
This is an original vintage chair that is ‘sold as seen’. The original tan brown leather upholstery is in excellent vintage condition. It’s been thoroughly cleaned and nourished with leather balm. As you would expect with leather, there are marks and wrinkles but this ageing is as you would expect from a vintage piece. The leather strapping and back/seat support is also in excellent vintage condition, with no real signs of wear to flag. The frame is structurally sound and sturdy and it’s as comfortable as it looks. We have cleaned the wood and applied a natural beeswax polish, and although there are some slight wear marks to the arms from everyday use – these do not detract from the look of the piece. Sadly the original maker’s sticker is no longer affixed to the underside but this is a well-documented design, imported directly from Denmark.
