Danish Midcentury Single Brown Bubble Spotlight Floor Lamp
The appeal of these bubble floor lamps endures and we think it’s because their vintage charm works so well in a modern setting. They are subtly eccentric without showing off. This lamp has been carefully restored and whilst it may carry a few superficial knocks, these don’t detract from its appeal and function in anyway. The spotlight can be height adjusted and angled to illuminate just the right area, whether that’s a reading corner with it positioned behind a favourite chair, or a picture on the wall.
This vintage, restored floor light is ‘sold as seen’. The lamp head is height-adjustable on the main stem, and the position of the spotlight can be rotated and angled using the arm lever. The stem has a silver chrome finish as does the angled arm. The base is brown matching the spotlight and weighted for stability. The overall condition of this piece is good. As you can see from our photos, there are some minor dents and knocks. It is an authentic, vintage piece however so to be expected and we don’t feel it detracts greatly from the appeal of the piece. The light has been fully rewired with new braided, fabric-coated flex and a foot switch. It has been PAT-tested and updated for the modern UK home with a single UK 3 amp plug and supplied with a bright, energy efficient LED spotlight bulb. Please refer to our photos for an overall sense of the condition. Forgive the reflections in the close up shots of the spotlight! Sadly there is no maker’s label anymore but there is every chance it is an original ES Horn bubble lamp.
