Danish Midcentury Brushed Silver Bubble Spotlight Floor Lamp
With its brushed silver finish, this spotlight floor lamp definitely has a retro space-age feel to it. It dates from the 1970’s and features the iconic ‘bubble’ style shade . These sculptural lamps have much eccentric charm and are always a talking point. Whilst unmistakably vintage, their classic design still mixes well alongside with contemporary interiors of different styles.
This vintage, restored floor light is ‘sold as seen’. The round lamp head is height-adjustable on the main stem, and the position of the spotlight can be rotated and angled using the arm. The stem is chrome and the adjustable arm is black plastic with a heavy, black metal base, weighted for stability. The overall condition of this piece is good. As you can see from our photos, the bubble shade has some minor scuffs and knocks. It is an authentic, vintage piece however so to be expected and we don’t feel it detracts greatly from the appeal of the piece. The light has been fully rewired with new braided, fabric-coated flex and a new floor foot switch. It has been PAT-tested and updated for the modern UK home with a single UK 3 amp plug and supplied with a bright, energy efficient LED spotlight bulb. Please refer to our photos.
