Midcentury Danish Erik Buch for Orum Møbler Teak Armchair #2

An exquisitely designed, super stylish armchair in solid teak with original black vinyl upholstery from the 1960’s, designed by renowned Danish furniture designer, Erik Buch, for Ørum Møbler. Unlike other Erik Buch dining chairs, such as the ‘Model 49’, or the later ‘Captain’s Chair’, this is a wider seated and more generously cushioned armchair, making it as comfortable as it is handsome. The chair features Buch’s trademark floating seat design, as well as the organically sculpted lines that make him stand out as one of the finest Scandinavian designers of the period. Erik Buch armchairs from this period were not produced in the same quantity as his dining chairs and as such it is rare to find one in such good condition.
