Description

This is an original, vintage bookcase that is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, it is in good, used condition. We have cleaned it and applied a natural beeswax polish to the exterior wood but otherwise left the original finish well alone. The unit is comprised of four separate sections – base, two bookcases and top. These slot on top of each other to form a sturdy unit. They are standardised sizes so could be incorporated with other Globe Wernicke bookcases. The two bookcase sections have Globe Wernicke’s signature sliding, drop-down doors. These move and slide back with ease, with their unique mechanisms in good, working order. The interior wood is knocked here and there but is clean and tidy. The external wood and metal braces do carry knocks, scuffs and marks – these can be seen across our photos.  The maker’s label can be seen inside the top drawer.
